It turns out those live concerts from around the world to promote
“awareness” and Coca-Cola commercials that sing about peace, love and
happiness don’t heal the world and make it a better place. In
fact, in light of recent events it’s clearly produced the opposite
desired effect.
So please; stop holding hands and singing John Lennon songs or buying
useless plastic bracelets with heartwarming thoughts carved into
‘em. People’s lives are at stake. Stop making suggestions
and try to be a lil more proactive. If that’s too much for you
than follow me over to Sweden or just up to Canada (I don’t think they
bother with other people’s affairs anymore); because this is one train
wreck I don’t wanna be a part of.
I'd like to clarify my statement about Canada: What I was so
ineloquently trying to say is that I don't think Canadians are down
with killing a bunch of folks, especially when it's someone else's
war. I like Canada, my best friend lives in Vancouver and she
says it's obscenely clean. Also the people aren't back stabbing
or competing and paranoid over jobs. AND they don't kill as many
folks up there.

We, in Canada, are a nation of just under 33 million people. We spend on the average $5 billion per year on foreign aid. Our military serves as peacekeepers all over the world. in places like Afghanistan (where they are getting killed by confused US pilots in "friendly fire" incidents), Cyprus and Bosnia. Although we are not officially part of the Iraq War coalition, we've had troops there since the biginning in support positions. Where the fuck do you come off saying that we don't care about other people's affairs? Re: Re: Please stop giving peace a chance

FIVE BILLION?! Whoopety doo. Don't we spend more than that dropping bombs on iraq in a month?
if you cared... you'd bomb. hey, don't we give Canada foreign aid? where they get off turning around and handing out money to others? oh yeah, don't forget, send more xanax. other than beer, pharmaceuticals seem to be the one thing y'all are good at up there. that and kissing dubya's butt. so keep sending the xanax. thank you. well, sweetie, we are actually the people who do not kiss dubya's butt. And as for foreign aid, no hon, you don't send us any & if you figure out the per capita on the 5 billion, we do al right.
The best part is that we don't have red-neck dicks like you. Re: Re: Re: Re: Please stop giving peace a chance

dude, we send you foreign aid in tourists. and we dictate your foreign policy.
and if you can't take a joke (like the foriegn aid thing wasn't a tip off) and think all americans with a sense of humor are rednecks... well... you figure it out. hey but the good thing is brooke is now so determined not to be like me that you got an apology out of her. way to go buddy. that's progress. oh and by the way, thanks for KITH. i'll forgive canada anything because of KITH. seriously dude, chill out. i love canada. when i travel i pretend to be canadian because being an american now is embarassing. we practically do consider bombing to be foreign aid. that's just pathetic. Could you stop egging on the nice person from Ontario now? My apology was genuine. You know amazingly not everything is about you.

if you dictated our foreign policy, we'd be getting killed in Iraq as part of the "coalition of the stupid", instead of smoking pot and Cuban cigars. BTW, Cuba is a lovely vacation spot.
& our "rednecks" on the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec aren't walking around looking for something to shoot. They are just confused French-speaking rural people - but staunch Catholics. Excuse me for taking you seriously, sadly I've had discussions with Americans who say stuff like that & mean it. Hard to know what to think, after all you did re-elect Dubya. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. I just know Canadians as easy going folks, wasn't aware of their military. I apologize and I'm sorry some of our dimbulbs killed your soldiers. I never saw Canada as uncaring, I just assumed they weren't interested in some big ass war; which frankly doesn't appeal to me either. Also in my personal opinion I don't see other countries attacking Canada because their so cool; I'm just afraid they'll receive some backlash because of the US.
Guess I have to take my wussy ass to Sweden..:) Re: Re: Re: Please stop giving peace a chance

they won't recieve any backlash because you have to go through us to get to them. that's what makes it so easy for them to be "humanitarians" and be so damn smug and superior.
but they do have KITH and HempBC so they're forgiven. and 2nd City Toronto aint half bad either. Re: Please stop giving peace a chance

I am Swedish by descent, but I am American first and foremost. Running away from that which you fear has never been considered progress. Sweden is a wonderful country - what you suggest is not a solution, and is not at all proactive. Those Coke commercials were cool when they were ORIGINAL. Some things are not made for 'retro.' Bowling shirts, tattoos, Elvis Presley, and ORIGINAL Coke are cool. Trying to create a new generation of hippies - not cool. Nothing wrong with hippies, my parents were hippies, but for the LOVE OF GOD, do something original. And that's all I have to say about that.
